Olde Naples

Olde Naples is the downtown section of the City of Naples. It is a residential area between Naples white sand beaches and the Naples Bay. The Olde Naples neighborhood oozes with charm and few visit the Olde Naples area that are not blown over its charm.

While the Olde Naples area is mostly residential, it is also the downtown of the Naples area, where the City Hall is located, along with shopping / dining districts and the Naples Pier. There are always numerous small town activities and event to choose from at anytime of year. Olde Naples is a major destination spot for residents in the area. It feels good to visit Olde Naples, and the residents there are very fortunate.

Olde Naples, take up just two square miles, but it has virtually any style of housing imaginable. Ranging from 400 sq. ft. one bedroom condos, to grand estate homes on the beach, to very small wood frame homes built in the 1930s. There is nearly triple the number of condo homes than single family homes in Olde Naples. But single family homes take up triple the land area.

Home prices range from the $200’s for a one bedroom condo built in the 1960’s, to over $25 million for a beach home.

Fifth Avenue South

Fifth Avenue South is popular shopping / dining in downtown Naples. The area offers a range of daytime and nighttime activities. In addition to the many excellent restaurants and pubs. Fifth Avenue has many shops, art galleries, live entertainment and hotels. Fifth Avenue comes alive at night with various activities. Many of the restaurants in the area offer outdoor seating, complete with people watching opportunities.

One of the very popular reoccurring events on Fifth Avenue is the “Evening on Fifth.” Evening on 5th features an array of live musical performances throughout the sidewalk areas of 5th Avenue South.

Cambier Park, next to 5th Avenue also has many activities and has an outdoor band shell with events several times a week – jazz, big band, Dixieland, etc. There is a church service held every Sunday morning at the band shell.

Third Street South

Third Street South District

The Third Street South is in the heart of Olde Naples. It was the site of the original Naples settlement and just blocks to both the Naples Beach and the Naples Bay.

The Third Street area also has many shops, art galleries, boutiques, restaurants and pubs. Plus, just three blocks from the Naples pier.

You get to the Third Street South area by heading west on Fifth Avenue South, then left at Third Street for one mile.

Naples City Dock

The Naples City Dock has 84 slips on floating docks and can accommodate up to 60 foot vessels.

This area also has shopping, fine dining and on the bay dining at the Dock restaurant. While not as large as Fifth avenue and Third Street Districts, it is a popular destination spot
